Trade kicker affects matching

WARNCBA Article VII, Section 3(d)

Summary

When a player with an unwaived trade kicker is traded, the kicker amount is added to the incoming salary for matching purposes.

How it works

Trade kickers (typically 5-15% of contract value) are triggered by trades and inflate the incoming salary value that the receiving team must match against. If the receiving team would prefer not to trigger the kicker, they can waive it.

Example

Player has a $20M salary with a 10% ($2M) trade kicker. The receiving team's matching calculation treats the incoming salary as $22M, not $20M.

Engine behavior

KICKER-001 is WARN only. The engine flags the kicker but does not automatically apply it; player/team decisions on waiving are outside engine scope at v0.1.
